Kenny Taylor, JR.
My life began in December of 1975; I was born and reared in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. At the age five years old my grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wingfield took me under their wings and raised me as a son. My grandfather is a retired Firefighter for the city of Arkadelphia and a Master Plumber, and my late grandmother was a loving housewife. Growing up I spent my time being dragged around by my grandfather, watching him fight fires and fixing peoples plumbing problems. I tell you this because this is how I got interested in being a community helper.
I graduated High School in 1995, in which soon after I started working for the local paramedic ambulance service, Baptist Medical Center. Soon after working for them I earned my E.M.T. certification, and began saving peoples lives, involved in every medical trauma situation you can think of.
In 1997 I married the love of my life Courtney Cole. Courtney is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University with a teaching degree. Courtney teaches third grade in Arkadelphia. My wife and I have two beautiful daughters, Chandler Katelynn, who is a fourth grader, and Haedyn Reece who is a typical four year old. My wife's parents were both teachers, her mother taught fourth grade and her late father was a retired History Professor at Oauchita Baptist University. So you can say she is following in her parents foot steps.
In 1999 I became interested in Law Enforcement. I started working as a part-time officer and later left the medical field in 2002 to pursue it full-time. I worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Clark County Sheriff's Department. I worked as a patrol deputy for about four years and then was promoted to the Criminal Investigation Division. As a Criminal Investigator I had the opportunity to work on numerous criminal crimes involving murders, shootings, unattended deaths, residential/commercial crimes and the list goes on. During my law enforcement career I had numerous opportunities in assisting the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission in which that is the reason I am here today. My countless adventures with numerous Wildlife Officers convinced me that there is no other agency to work for that is better than the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
